About Sven D. Olensky, the Founder and CEO of GANSEC

I have been actively working in the field of Information Security for the last 15+ years. I have been fond of computers and technology since I was a little kid, always curious about how things work. In my early teens I started getting interested in Computer Security and what the best ways were of circumventing it.

I can count myself lucky of having a job in a field I love. Considering that there always will be new challenges and exciting developments, I feel that IT Security is my calling.

Why GANSEC?

I started GANSEC in 2007 to enable small- to mid-size businesses to obtain access to the same high-quality and in-depth security guidance and knowledge that enterprise-level companies have, due to their larger budgets and larger resource pools.

As it is the case with many things, you get what you pay for with security consultations. The more you pay, the more services you get, the less you pay, the lower quality of service will be provided to you. However, even if you pay more, it does not necessarily mean that you get the services 100% tailored to your needs.

GANSEC is different.

When I founded GANSEC, I established the following Core Principles. Based on my past experience, unfortunately not every consulting company follows these principles, so I wanted to make sure that these are written down, for everybody to see.
